There is so little to this yummy bread it is hardly a recipe and more of a method of adding things together.
I ate the rest of the leftover from St. Patrick’s day bread for breakfast this morning! Yum!
1 Loaf Bridgeford frozen bread dough or a half bag of their frozen rolls
2 leeks cleaned , trimmed down to the white/very light green parts
1/3 cup (or so) of margarine
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
Thaw dough as package directs , I like the microwave method.
Cut into pieces as you would for Monkey bread or pull-apart, size of a small meatball.
Coat an 8×8 or loaf pan with PAM or margarine.
Slice the leeks thinly and saute them in the 1/3 cup margarine.
now put a layer of the cut up dough balls in the pan add 1/2 the leeks and 1/2 the cheese and (this is the messy part!) coat the dough with the leeks and cheese.add the rest of the dough and rest of the leeks and cheese and gently repeat.
Lick off your fingers now and then actually wash them!
Let rise according to package directions, I use the oven on low for about an hour and a half until it is doubled in size.
Turn oven up to 350 degrees and bake 25-40 minutes check for a nice light brown top and it will be done!
This can be doubled and tripled as needed for the hungry guests or family!
