Skywatch Friday #38

We have had rollercoaster weather this week. These are taken from the same highway 30 minutes apart . The wildflowers and blue sky are facing North East and the rolling hills shrouded in misty clouds are facing South West.
We had a little low pressure system rolling in from the Pacific which is about 13 miles to the South West as the crow flies(or any bird, plane ‘copter I suppose!) at it’s nearest point.
The hillside looks like ones we drove across in Scotland, all misty and damp. We don’t get that too much here in Southern California.
The Spring weather has wreaked havoc with peoples sinus’ mine included.I was driving yesterday around the same time these photos were taken and I heard a high pitched popping noise, turned down the car radio ,checked the windows and then figured out it was inside my head! My sinus’ were popping from the pressure change!

  1. That “Scottish” photo is really incredible! Who knew? Both are pretty.
