Skywatch Friday Sticky yucky humid !

This week for Skywatch I bring you 45% Humidity, air temps of 96 feel like 102 due to the thick ,disgusting humidity. We only get 10  to 15 of these days in an average Summer but these first one are extra miserable. These skies are the Sunset remains of a NOAA flash flood alert inducing monsoonal flow that spilled over the mountains from the desert yesterday. We do not hear emergency alerts on the radio very often here in So Cal but it happened yesterday.

Later in the week I will cover my war with the Paper Wasps and my first grilling experience.

  2. Hiya,
Fantastic those soft fluffy pink clouds.
Not looking forward to your wasp experiences 😦
Just had an encounter with a swarm of bees in our loft.

  4. Beautiful skies, terrific captures! Hope the humidity goes away!! Have a great weekend! Enjoy!

  5. The abject snark in me wants to say “there, there, Poor Baby . . .” but I’ll refrain. We’re into our third weeks in mostly three-digit temperatures, with another month to go. Humidity stays at around 40% unless we get a pop-up thunderstorm (they’ve been happening around us, but not on us). Sorry your normally hot/dry combination’s been interrupted –but the photos are quite pretty. Have a cooler weekend!

    Lovely colors in those skies!

    Planets hurtling through the sky,
Can you tell me one thing: Why
    Are you intent on fleeing
Far from human sight and seeing?

  7. Interesting pinkish light on the clouds – I hope the monsoon only gave you flood warnings, and not floods!
