Skywatch on Flag Day USA

Today is June 14th which means this is Flag Day in the United States of America.

Flag Day – the anniversary of the Flag Resolution of 1777 has been celebrated since the late 1800s but it was not until August 3rd, 1949, that President Truman signed an Act of Congress designating June 14th of each year as National Flag Day.

This is a collection of Flags displayed at homes and shops on my way to the Post Office today. We begin at my own front porch.

Travel along Grand Blvd.

Yes,there really is a flag beyond the showy Jacaranda tree!

Back home down Ford St.
