ABC Wednesday C is for Corona

C is for Corona,my hometown! Also known as the Circle City, Corona has a history rich in the Classic activities  of Southern California. In the early days of the automobile speed records were set from 1913 -1916 on the earliest Macadam surface for road racing in the area which ran the 3 miles of Grand Blvd the “Circle”Of the Circle City.

Grand Blvd encloses the Center of the City Crossing the Major through streets of Sixth and Main  twice each with it round Course. As a Child I learned where things were and how to get around town at breakfast from my Dad showing streets names on my round Waffles!

Corona was once the Lemon Capitol of the world. Citrus groves Carpeted the foothills.
